Wollongong will join the ranks of Istanbul, São Paulo and Warsaw as a host city for DevOpsDays later this year - a global conference series at the cutting edge of software development and IT operations.
It marks the first time the worldwide event has landed in Wollongong, and only the fourth time in Australia. For Jess Belliveau, an operations engineer and long-time champion of the local tech scene, it’s a milestone moment — not just for him, but for the Illawarra’s innovation ecosystem.
“It’s very organic,” Belliveau explained. “It's probably different to imagine how a lot of other conferences happen, but that is part of its appeal,” Belliveau said.
