Karen Burdett leads Greenacres into new chapter with airport café expansion
Disability enterprise Greenacres is set to take over the Shellharbour Airport café and launch a regional catering service.
Four months into her new role, Greenacres CEO Karen Burdett is wasting no time putting her stamp on the disability service provider - announcing the organisation will take over operations of the Shellharbour Airport cafe and launch a new region-wide catering arm.
The move marks a significant expansion of Greenacres’ service offering under Burdett, who stepped into the role in late 2023 following the departure of former CEO Chris Christodoulou.
“This is a really exciting step for us,” Burdett said. “The café will serve the public and travellers, but it also gives us a professional base for expanding our catering services across the region.”
