“If it helps that activation and vibrancy, and if that encourages people to get out and use these businesses in town or suburbs, then that's a positive thing,” Lord Mayor Tania Brown said.

Wollongong City Council will forgo nearly $1 million in revenue over the next three years after voting to extend its outdoor dining fee waiver until mid-2028. It’s a move Lord Mayor Councillor Tania Brown says is critical to supporting local business activation.
