Menopause, a $3 billion investment on the Illawarra and South Coast and businesses reaching their potential were some of the things on Stephen Jones’ mind during his final public address as Member for Whitlam, Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services.

Jones had been lined up to address the Business Illawarra Economic Forum at City Beach, Wollongong, on Friday, March 28, for weeks, perhaps unaware that the Federal Election would be called just hours beforehand.

“Thanks so much for the opportunity in what I’m most certainly sure is my last official act as the member for Whitlam,” he said.
