Legacy Property CEO Matthew Hyder is urging swift reform to NSW’s sluggish planning system, warning that the current pace of approvals is too slow to meet the state’s deepening housing crisis - particularly in fast-growing regions like the Illawarra.

Hyder, whose company is behind The Works, an 18-hectare redevelopment of the former Corrimal Cokeworks, will address an audience of business leaders at the Illawarra Connection Dinner on Tuesday, June 10.

In an interview ahead of his keynote, he highlighted the need for faster rezoning and approvals.
