The University of Wollongong has unveiled plans aimed at securing its position among the world's top 100 universities and Australia’s top 10 within a decade.

The institution may be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year amid ongoing financial pressures affecting the Australian higher education sector. And while recognising the past, leadership is determined to plot a path to future sustainability.

Chancellor Michael Still launched Vision 2035 and Strategic Plan 2030 this week, describing it as a reset for the institution as the nation’s higher education sector continues to navigate financial pressures and workforce cuts.
