What we’re working on during our summer break
We'll see you in the New Year.
We’re taking a short break at The Pulse Illawarra over the next few weeks and will be signing off until the week beginning January 12.
That doesn’t mean you won’t hear from us entirely. We’ll be using the downtime to experiment with new ideas and content types, and we may still pop up from time to time if a story is worth breaking you out of your holiday vibe.
If you’ve been following us on LinkedIn (if not, you can do that here), you’ll know The Pulse Illawarra was recently selected to join the Google News AI Workshops, alongside Australian and New Zealand publications including Forbes, The Squiz and Mamamia.
As part of the program, we’re developing a new product that we think Illawarra leaders will love. We’ll be spending part of the break figuring that one out.
In the New Year, we’ll also be bringing you more insights from Connor Pearce through our Future Proof series. We’re grateful to Colliers Wollongong for coming on board as sponsors, with the next article in the series to be published in February.
We’re also delighted to announce that 2RPH, the radio reading service, will begin sharing The Pulse Illawarra content in 2026. We’re honoured to be able to support their listeners with up-to-date, local business news.
Janine and I want to thank you for your support over the past 10 months.
We’ve achieved more than we could have expected and have loved providing a constructive perspective on the Illawarra’s regional affairs and business landscape.
And we know there are still many great stories for us to tell.
If you think we’d be interested in what your organisation has been doing, you can contact us at gayle@pulseillawarra.com.au or janine@pulseillawarra.com.au.
We can’t wait to talk to you.
Have a wonderful summer break,
Gayle and Janine.
