The Illawarra Women’s Entrepreneurial Breakfast at iAccelerate, the University of Wollongong’s startup incubator, heard from the inspirational women on a rainy Thursday morning.
The event brought together Danielle Owen Whitford, founder of workplace wellbeing platform Pioneera, Professor Lorna Moxham, co-founder of the award-winning Recovery Camp, and Darian Brooker, who launched education startup We, Future Leaders.
None of them come from a traditional tech background, but each is building ventures with real impact, powered by people-first thinking and bold ideas.
Their message to local entrepreneurs: You don’t have to have a technical degree to build a scalable, tech-enabled business. What matters is understanding the problem, listening to your users, and being willing to learn as you go.
